kappa is an 800-year-old river spirit. he is also extremely online. that gap is
the entire joke: a creature out of muromachi-period folklore, reviewing a candle
chart, being completely normal about it.
cucu is his emotional-support cucumber. cucu has no arms. cucu has never sold
anything in his life and is not about to start.
the art came first
this is the part that matters. kappa and cucu are hand-drawn by an illustrator
in japan, and they existed years before there was a token. nobody drew a mascot
to sell a coin. the coin exists because the drawings deserved to be looked at.
the artist posts as @otsukawauso.
800 years of free lore
kappa folklore is real, documented, and nobody owns it. kappa genuinely loves
cucumber. kappamaki, the cucumber roll, is genuinely named after him. the dish of
water on his head is canon, and in かっぱ村 it is the mood ring. calm water,
sloshing, draining. the dish never lies.
most projects run out of things to say by week three. this one has eight
centuries of material sitting there already written.
what is actually built
kappaandcucu[dot]com is the village. you can walk around it.
kappaandcucu[dot]com/terminal is a free $PONS dashboard. live market cap, holders,
supply burned, the buyback engine and how much fuel it has left, and where pons
sits against the other launchpads on fees. we built it for the people in this
forum more than for ourselves. it is an independent fan dashboard, not
affiliated with pons, and every number links back to the source it came from.
there is also an arcade, a sticker pack, and a village full of characters cucu
has befriended.
$KAPPA
live on pons.

no roadmap. no utility. no promises about price. kappa has been here 800 years
and was not planning to leave.
come say gm and kappa will say gm back. he has been doing it for a very long
time and he is good at it.
